All money for the UMD Bulldog Street Signs has been raised! Thanks to our many donors for helping us get the funds for this great boost to school spirit. The signs will be unveiled during Homecoming Week.
Interest forms for the Fund Allocations Committee are available. FAC is a committee on Student Association charged solely with distributing funds to student groups who apply and make presentations. It is a significant time commitment from Oct 7-11. If you are available then or have any questions, speak with Vice President of Admin and Finance Taylor Glynn.
All Freshman have received the Freshman Survey, which SA is collecting via CampusLabs this year. Thanks to Campus Outreach Director Ben Dufault for his hard work and dedicated on this over the summer.
President Hannah Mumm affirmed SA’s commitment to Ally Training for all Exec members, as well as expanding it this year to more SA members.
Association Vice Chancellor of Student Life and SA Advisor Corbin Smyth has moved to his new office in KPlz 245V. Taking residence in his old office is the new KSC Director, Jeni Eltink.
Student Association will be sponsoring a Constitution Day on Sept 17 in the bus hub, from 11-2. Join us for a non-partisan day filled with games, prizes, and information about your civil rights, voter information and polling locations.
Join Student Association and many other student groups for a Taste of Kirby on Friday, September 14 from 4-7pm. We will be having a Hollywood theme in our office of KSC 115, popcorn and other refreshments.

There are some big changes happening with UMD Food Services. The Dining Center is featuring live cooking stations this year, including fresh omelets in the morning, stir fry, Italian, etc. Check out the Food Court’s new salad bar for a healthy and delicious part of your day! Don’t forget that the Coffee Shop’s new smoothie flavors are out now, and they even include dietary information when you order them.
Next year’s Maroon Parking Permits will be completely online, according to Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Life, Corbin Smyth. The plan is for students to be able to reserve and pay online, too.
Congress discussed and approved the MAC Director Nomination resolution.
Congress discussed and approved the LCP Event/Finance Manager resolution.
Matt Hanson, Chelsea Cancino and Mia Mishek were nominated and voted in as our new Representatives-at-Large.
Amro Hashw was nominated and voted in as our new SCSE Senator.
David Wallace was nominated and voted in as our new CLA Senator.
