Highlights from Congress
The Street Signs Fundraiser is Wednesday, April 18th from 4-7pm at Buffalo Wild Wings near the Miller Hill Mall. 10% of all purchases during that time go to raising money to change the street signs around UMD to maroon and gold. Support school pride, order some wings!
On Friday, April 20th from 12-3pm in the Kirby Lounge, SA is sponsoring an event called Put the Public Back in Public Education. The goal for this rally is to show the administration that students are fed up with the high cost of tuition. There will be a petition that students can sign which will be delivered to the administration, in addition to an open mic where students can shout out how far in debt they are. Come for the food if nothing else, Tacos in a Bag will be served.
The Legal Q&A is on April 17th at 7pm. There will be legal representation there to get your rental and legal questions answered.
Congress discussed and approved a resolution to Oppose the Student Health Care Plan Implementation.
Congress discussed and tabled a resolution for Bylaws Review.
Congress discussed and tabled a resolution to oppose changes to the UMD Bylaws to create Membership Limitations.
